The expansive property hosts 440 guestrooms and 40 suites across six buildings. The rooms reflect the resort’s location with calming, cool colors, sea glass-themed decor and natural light. Notably, all rooms feature a balcony with a water view of either gardens, pools or the bay, so you can soak up the location. If you’re in the mood to splurge, the resort offers a special Presidential King Suite outfitted with the most luxurious amenities including a grand marble entrance, three private furnished balconies, a built-in wet bar, a fireplace, a baby grand piano, a whirlpool bathtub and two LED TVs.

Loews Coronado Bay Resort lets you have your choice in wining and dining with four in-house eateries: Crown Landing, La Cantina, Cays Lounge and Silver Strand Exchange. The resort’s signature casual-chic restaurant, Crown Landing, serves up fresh seafood and California-style cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the recently revamped La Cantina features made-to-order tacos, homemade churros and 50 tequilas for poolside margaritas. If you’re craving lighter fare, Cays Lounge offers small bites, and if you’re on-the-go, Silver Strand Exchange’s market is the place to go.
4 | Dip in the Sips
Toast to your island getaway at one of the resort’s bars! Our favorite: Cays Lounge. Just beyond the hotel’s gorgeous double staircase, Cays Lounge serves up signature cocktails (many of which are crafted with gin or vodka from local favorite You & Yours Distilling Co.), local craft brews and an expansive patio with terrace fire pits and epic San Diego cityscape views. The interior of the bar is also decked out with a TV wall for sports lovers to catch the big game.
5 | Up and Coming
The bayside resort is the perfect venue for any event, whether it be April’s waterfront Easter brunch, May’s Annual Wounded Warrior BBQ and Basketball event or July’s Independence Day festivities. This fall, Loews Coronado Bay Resort will be hosting their signature annual Play on the Bay to support local education, too. Guests can enjoy spectacular food, drinks, live music, specialty brews from Mike Hess Brewing and a silent auction that benefits Loews’ national charity, DonorsChoose.org.

Loews Coronado Bay Resort is committed to keeping it local so that all guests can get a full taste of San Diego during their stay. The resort features specialty offerings and collaborations from Mike Hess Brewing Co., Andrea’s Truffles, Catalina Offshore Products, Sweet Cheeks Baking Co. and You & Yours Distilling Co. Many of these local partners even utilize fresh produce straight from Loews’ onsite gardens. “We had a picking party in our Nectar Garden in February with You & Yours Distilling Co. for a new batch of Citrus Vodka,” said Moran. “Andrea from Andrea’s Truffles is launching candy bars, and her second bar out of the gate is a milk and dark chocolate marble bar with the zest from our oranges.”

Nothing beats soaking up the San Diego sun like playing in a pool with a margarita from La Cantina in hand. Lucky for you, Loews Coronado Bay Resort features three heated pools: one for kids, one for adults and one for the entire family.
