Camp Esmeralda will begin the first day of events with a fun, holiday-themed afternoon of crafting for kids from noon-4 p.m., followed by a Holiday Punch Bowl in the hotel lobby at 6 p.m. The holiday spirit continues with carolers sharing festive songs and good cheer from 6-8 p.m. at The Place, the resort’s innovative cocktail lounge.

This Christmas Eve, we’re heading back to Camp Esmeralda for children’s holiday-themed crafting from noon-4 p.m. Excitement is building as the festivities continue with complimentary cocoa and cookies for all at the Baby It’s Cold Outside Hot Chocolate Bar, hosted at The Place from 6-8 p.m. Sleep tight tonight because there is a full day of festivities for everyone tomorrow!

To get you in the Christmas Day spirit, head to CAVA for Santa’s Christmas Brunch from 10 a.m.-noon. And for those looking to catch a game, football fans can snack on team-inspired appetizers at The Place, which features giant TV screens for optimal viewing. Beginning at 4 p.m., the holiday planners are testing creativity and teamwork with edible real estate! That’s right—you and your family can build gingerbread houses! Try not to eat the complimentary supply of gumdrops, candy canes and lollipops along the way.

We are moving full steam ahead with complimentary train rides at the Lobby Level. This special event will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and is perfect for the kiddos! This would also be a fine day to enjoy some of Renaissance Esmeralda’s first-class amenities, including their state-of-the-art fitness center and sandy beach pool.
Locale Insight: Professional yoga instruction is available with Yoga Central and is complimentary for hotel guests. There’s no better time to work off those calories!

Indian Wells is an idyllic location within the Greater Palm Springs area with its proximity to local activities. Spend some time shopping on the famous El Paseo or visit the Living Desert Zoo to see the all-new Rhino Safari. When you return, the calming poolside fire pits will be anticipating your arrival. Local Insight: Indian Wells plays host to the annual BNP Paribas Open, a world-class professional tennis tournament. The nearby Tennis Garden Courts are available to book when tournaments aren’t taking place, and the Renaissance staff will assist with planning your tennis arrangements.

Kids cookie decorating begins at 10 a.m., featuring a delightful and delicious finale ($4 per kit). With an activity-free day for the adults, this would make for a superb spa day as you prepare for New Year’s Eve. Bring out your creative side with an instructor-led painting class for adults at 4 p.m. This event costs $25 per person and includes all the necessary supplies.
