If there’s one thing we know about Maui, it’s that it’s known for its bustling sea life. Sure, you can snorkel off just about any beach, but if you really want to get up close and personal with a porpoise (see what we did there?), then we recommend a sail and snorkel tour to Honolua Bay.

This pristine nature preserve is known for its vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life, making it a perfect place to anchor and explore. Departing from nearby West Maui, this Maui activity allows travelers to cruise along the island’s scenic coastline before diving into the clear, calm waters for a guided snorkeling adventure. Led by experienced crew members, you’ll safely navigate these magnificent waters in hopes of spotting some tropical fish, turtles and underwater landscapes. Tours run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and cost $175 for adults, $155 for youths and $125 for kids.
