This weekend, ComplexCon was back around for its fourth annual Long Beach festival with tons of exclusive drops, surprise celebrity appearances, creative brand activations, powerful discussions and amazing musical performances. For those of you who have never heard about ComplexCon, it truly is a special event unlike any other, where pop culture, music, art, food, sports, innovation, activism and education all come together. Superstars like Pharrell, Selena Gomez, Kid Cudi, LL Cool J, Usher, Dwyane Wade and Takashi Murakami were just a few of many spotted shopping, eating and enjoying everything the event had to offer. Takashi Murakami and ComplexCon Executive Producer Isis Arias Clermont allowed us to take a special preview tour of the event right before the doors opened to the public.

Dumbgood streetwear displayed an amazing and nostalgic Blockbuster activation, along with some of their exclusive apparel pieces up for grabs.

Speaking of up for grabs, the ComplexCon gift shop was one of the main hot spots to shop for a lot of exclusive items like the Takashi Murakami x Lakers collection that sold out almost instantly.

The crowd roared as Lil Kim hit the stage to perform some of her classic hits, along with a Biggie tribute that had the whole venue singing along.

We caught DJ A-Trak hanging out at the Fools Gold booth, teaching some of his tricks and techniques behind the turntables.

Check out these amazing, limited edition vinyl sculptures that were for sale by artist Louis De Guzman!

Mountain Dew brought the past, present and future of gaming with vintage arcade machines and flat screens to play the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. There was also a glimpse into the future with treadmills, gaming vests and goggles that put users directly into a unique virtual reality unlike any other.

Besides stepping outside for some California sunshine, guests had the chance to watch professional skateboarders compete in the skate demo, along with entering raffles for a chance at tons of giveaways, presented by Diamond Supply Co.

Closing the first night at the music stage was Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum artist Kid Cudi, who shut the place down!

When it came to enjoying some food, we headed down to the ‘First We Feast Lagoon,’ where they had over 30 well-known food vendors like Afters Ice Cream, Hot Ones, Fat Sal’s, Uncle Paulie’s and many more.

Back inside, we ran into Dwyane Wade and rapper Rick Ross doing a meet-and-greet at Lining, one of China’s premier sports brands.

Even the kids had a chance to enjoy the rainbow ball pit and UFO-shaped ziplines that Japan’s famous PuChu! Playground built just for ComplexCon. As you can see, adults couldn’t resist relaxing there as well.
