Escape to Paradise This Fall at Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs

This Is the Trip to the Tropics We All Need

Get your salt and lime ready; Margaritaville, with the help of Jimmy Buffett, is transporting travelers to a slower-paced and sunnier place. Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is the first west coast location and makes for the perfect fall escape! And this year, guests can take advantage of Margaritaville’s Nothin’ but a Breeze offer, which includes a delightful breakfast for two at Come Monday Café and a welcome gift from Joe Merchant’s Coffee & Provisions (available between Sept. 16 and Nov. 24). But before you begin packing your bags, here’s an inside look at this desert oasis in the heart of the Palm Springs’ Uptown Design District.

The reimagined resort greets guests with a giant, blue flip-flop juxtaposed by a chandelier art piece made of margarita glasses. A bright and natural palette breathes a fresh existence into the iconic landmark. “We kept the bones and the architecture from the midcentury period and redressed it, giving the property a new life and new energy with the Margaritaville [theme],” explains General Manager Marc Choplic.

Six different dining options provide guests with more options than just a cheeseburger in paradise. Come Monday Cafe serves comfort on a plate for breakfast. The 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar offers casual meals poolside for lunch and dinner, and JWB Grill invites guests to try their elevated classic dishes in their upbeat dining room or on their expansive patio under the ficus trees.

Whether it’s relaxing by one of the two pools or sipping frozen cocktails in a cabana, there’s something for everyone at this island-inspired resort. Families can find fun and games throughout the 16 acres, such as yard games like giant Jenga and hotel-hosted scavenger hunts. The whole brand centers around driving fun and escapism.

There’s a total of 10 event spaces to host meetings and conferences as well as seven additional board rooms with terraces. The Compass Ballroom is uniquely oval-shaped with large crystal chandeliers strung across the ceiling. Throughout the ballroom, a subtle elegance balances out the glamorous ice above, giving the space a casual and luxurious aesthetic.

Local Insight: It’s rumored that Frank Sinatra and his band used the ballroom stage as a rehearsal space before gigs!
