This Is the Trip to the Tropics We All Need
Get your salt and lime ready; Margaritaville is taking over The Riviera! Jimmy Buffett personifies the laid-back beach vibe. He’s become iconic in transporting people to a slower-paced and sunnier place; Palm Springs is also synonymous with escapism. The rare matching characteristics of the two provide an exclusive experience as island meets desert—sounds like a match made in paradise! Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is the franchise’s first west coast location and is accepting reservations starting Nov. 24. Each resort is unique and specifically designed to fit it’s location. Here’s an inside look at this new desert oasis in the heart of the Palm Springs’ Uptown Design District. Margaritaville Palm Springs
Paradise Awaits
The reimagined resort greets guests with a giant, blue flip-flop juxtaposed below a chandelier art piece made of margarita glasses. A bright and natural palette breathes a fresh existence into the old building. “We’re keeping the bones and the architecture from the midcentury period, redressing it and giving a new life and new energy with the Margaritaville [theme],” explained Jeff Ouradnik, director of sales and marketing.

Bring Your Appetite
Six different dining options provide guests with more options than just a cheeseburger in paradise. Come Monday Cafe serves comfort on a plate for breakfast. The 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar offers casual meals for lunch and dinner with an outdoor dining option, and JWB Grill will invite guests to try their elevated classic dishes.

Relax and Reset Margaritaville Palm Springs
St. Somewhere Spa offers traditional treatments and salon services to help guests unwind and decompress. Plus, there’s a state-of-the-art Watsu pool. What’s a Watsu? It’s a form of water therapy providing customized bodywork while the client is immersed in warm water. Ten treatment rooms and over 10,000 square feet of space makes this spa one of the largest in the desert.

Bring the Whole Family
Whether it’s relaxing by one of the two pools or sipping frozen cocktails in one of the tiki cabanas, there’s something for everyone at the new resort. Families can find fun and games throughout the 16 acres, such as playing yard games like giant Jenga or participating in hotel-hosted scavenger hunts. “The whole brand centers around driving fun and escapism,” says Ouradnik.

Come One, Come All
There’s a total of 10 event spaces to host meetings and conferences as well as seven additional board rooms with terraces. The Compass Ballroom is uniquely oval-shaped with large crystal chandeliers sprawled across the ceiling. Throughout the ballroom, a subtle elegance balances out the glamorous ice above, giving the space a casual and luxurious aesthetic.
Native Knowledge: It’s rumored that Frank Sinatra and his band used the ballroom stage as a rehearsal space before gigs!
