Swing ‘N Hops Street Party at El Paseo between San Pablo and Larkspur

Swing into your best ‘40s attire for the 3rd Annual Swing ‘N Hops dance party, taking place on the famed El Paseo. This street festival features a live jazz quintet for dancing, gourmet food trucks, swing dance instruction and craft beer gardens. Held from 1 to 5 p.m., there will also be interactive crafts, swing era fashions and a special collection of vintage cars.

Wildflower Festival at Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center

Surround yourself with colorful wildflowers, vivid art and enjoy a glass of wine from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at this Wildflower Festival in the Coachella Valley. If you’re feeling active, there will be a 5k run and interpretive wildflower hikes. Also there will be a beer and wine garden with live music to enjoy, if that is more your speed. With a kid’s zone and different activities and raffles, this is great for the whole family.

Brew at the Zoo at The Living Desert Zoo & Botanical Gardens

Take a trip to Africa for the ninth annual gathering for beer and animal lovers alike. Starting at 6:30 and going until 9:30 p.m., The Living Desert Zoo opens up for a special beer tasting, which craft beer fans shouldn’t miss, along with food offerings from Coachella’s top restaurants. Along with the delicious plates, guests can explore and see animals such as zebras, cheetahs and oryx in the newly opened African section of the park.
