Desert View Trail: A one-and-a-half-mile loop of scenic forest views with a little bit of a climb to work the legs. Round Valley: A two-and-a-half-mile trail with fairly level paths and short climbs leading to the gorgeous Round Valley. Wellman’s Divide: The view at Wellman’s Divide after the one-mile hike from Round Valley is breathtaking. The dome of the Palomar Observatory is visible, but the hike may be strenuous for beginners.
