These new studios get creative with their exercises and will get you up and moving, so you’re ready to take on 2020!
1 | Perspire-ation! Fitness Studios in Southern California
Opening their fifth studio in Mission Viejo in January, owners Robin Dunivin and Chelsea Bartolotta will bring their saunas to a new area. Perspire features saunas with infrared light that improves circulation and increases weight loss. Dunivin says, “Wellness is the…integration of body, mind and spirit.” Infrared helps that process.

With a studio now in Newport Beach, the The Bar Method features a workout that will kick start your metabolism and get you long and lean muscles. With a focus on barre exercises, this workout uses mostly your own body weight for resistance and gives you a ballet-esque workout you won’t forget!

3 | LEK Get Fit Fitness Studios in Southern California
Although LEKFIT’s founder Lauren Kleban may have started teaching classes out of her garage, she has turned her workout into a full-fledged studio. The focus here is on full-body workouts with low impact so you can strengthen and tone, and with the studio opening in March, get fit just in time for swimsuit season.

4 | I Like You Pilate! Fitness Studios in Southern California
Jamie Ehrlich, trainer to the stars, has recently opened her Made By Pilates studio in Highland Park. With a twist on traditional Pilates moves, this workout increases the pace and intensity for a better overall workout. Sounds too hard? Don’t worry! Ehrlich says, “We love beginners here; everyone is welcome!”
Native Knowledge: If you’re unsure about exercising in front of others at Made By Pilates, then private sessions can be arranged to shake the nerves. Ehrlich says, “The first time’s…the hardest…then…it’s no big deal.”
Ra Yoga is a studio that is in Long Beach and will use the ancient practices to not only give you a great workout, but help boost your mood and allow you to find your authentic light. Classes are offered in a variety of areas including, prenatal, vinyasa and kundalini.

Barry’s opened their new location in Long Beach on scenic East PCH in November 2019 and invited both locals and visitors to try high-intensity workouts that blend strength training with cardio for a full workout in less time. 7 | It’s Getting Hawt in Here Fitness Studios in Southern California
Long Beach is one lucky city; with Hawt Yoga having just opened there in December 2019, this studio will get you heated up in time for summer. Hawt Yoga brings the heat to 2nd and PCH with yoga workouts in rooms heated to 80 degrees or higher for maximum perspiration.
