Fourth of July is right around the corner, and no Independence Day is complete without an amazing fireworks show. Make this year’s festivities memorable by celebrating our great nation in Greater Palm Springs. Fireworks are the true highlight of America’s birthday party, and this oasis shines by providing fun opportunities to view the dazzling displays. From dance parties to landscape views, Greater Palm Springs has something for everyone to celebrate the Fourth in an unforgettable way. 

1 | Star-Spangled Bagdouma Palm Springs 4th of July

When: July 3 from 6-9 p.m.

Kick off the holiday festivities early by attending the City of Coachella’s celebrations on July 3rd. Located in Bagdouma Park, the patriotic event brings the community together with entertaining activities. Across the 46-acre park, there will be carnival rides, games, local food vendors and special activities for the kids. Stuff your face with American pie at the pie-eating contest and listen to musical performances before the fireworks display.

2 | From Sea to Shining Springs Palm Springs 4th of July

When: July 3 at 9 p.m.

Celebrate Independence Day early with the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians and Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on July 3. The sky will light up at 9 p.m. with the fireworks blasting off from Fantasy Springs’ Eagle Falls 18-hole golf course. The show will be accompanied by local radio station, The Eagle 106.9 FM, providing a soundtrack that lets freedom ring. You can watch the show from Eagle Falls Pro Shop at a nearby parking lot. After the show, try your luck at one of the casino tables.

3 | Raise the Roof 

When: July 4 from 6-11 p.m.

Nothing says summer like spending time in the pool, and Fourth of July is no different. Get a closer glimpse at the fireworks by attending the “4th of July Rooftop Experience” at Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs. This “desert dreamland” hotel contains the High Bar, which is the only rooftop pool in Palm Springs. For $25 each, attendees can enjoy the rooftop bar and pool while listening to live music by Yeti Tactics.

4 | Red, White and Baseball

When: July 4 at 6:05 p.m. | Gates Open at 4:30 p.m.

What better way to celebrate the 4th than with America’s favorite pastime? Palm Springs POWER Baseball Club lets you enjoy a sports game on this holiday with the “4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza” at the historic Palm Springs Stadium. POWER brings talented collegiate players from all around the country to play ball from June and July for the Palm Springs community. Munch on some hot dogs and watch the game between Power and Palm Springs Collegiate League All-Stars. When the game concludes, fans can sit on the field to watch the fireworks show hosted by the City of Palm Springs.

Native Knowledge: A VIP ticket is $20 and general admission tickets range from $6 to $8. VIP Area perks include beer and soda discounts, shaded seating and unlimited hot dogs, peanuts and popcorn!

5 | We the People… Love to Celebrate

When: July 4 at 7:30 p.m.

It’s a party in the USA! AAP-Food Samaritans, an organization helping at-risk members of the Greater Palm Springs community—particularly low-income individuals with chronic illnesses—is throwing its 9th annual Independence Day Celebration & Fundraiser. The event will take place at the notable “Eye of the Desert” O’Donnell House. Starting at 7:30 p.m., guests can enjoy delicious barbecue catering by modern American cuisine restaurant Eight4Nine. The $150 ticket includes perks like an open bar, valet parking, tasty food and entertainment.

6 | Light the Fire Palm Springs 4th of July

When: July 4 at 9 p.m.

Spend the 4th at Agua Caliente Resort Casino and enjoy fireworks at the resort’s beautiful fireworks spectacle. The 5th annual extravaganza can be enjoyed by all. The dazzling bursts of colors will be synchronized with music from classic hits station, The Eagles 106.9 FM. Make sure to visit the casino afterward if you’re feeling lucky!

7 | Ticket to Freedom 

Enjoy the land that we love by taking the rotating tram car to San Jacinto Peak. Since 1963, the historic Aerial Tram allows visitors to ascend 2.5 miles up to the sheer Chino Canyon Cliffs to reach the mountain. If you’re feeling up for a hike, tackle some of the 54 miles of hiking trails in the Mount San Jacinto State Park before the fireworks show.

Native Knowledge: On July 4, the trams will start operation at 8 a.m. The last car rides will be 8 p.m. (going up) and 9:45 p.m. (going down).

8 | The Pursuit of Happiness Palm Springs 4th of July

Head to The Gardens on El Paseo for a unique view of the colorful fireworks. With an open-air setup, scenic views and lovely desert landscaping, this luxurious shopping and dining center is a great place to see the show. Park at the lot and walk around The Gardens to find your perfect view.

9 | Eagle-Eyed 

Want to avoid the crowd? Take the off-beaten path and embrace the spirit of adventure by seeing the fireworks at Vista Point Highway 74. The scenic Vista Point, which is about 5 miles up Highway 74, offers a prime view of the Coachella Valley landscape. The turnout point offers an awe-inspiring look at the many fireworks displays happening all across Greater Palm Springs. The view is better from the top!

10 | Civic Duty

When: July 4 at 7:15 p.m.

Cap off the patriotic day by going to Palm Desert Civic Center Park for a party and light show. The 70-acre park, which is the largest one in the City of Palm Desert, is the perfect place to view the Fourth of July celebrations. With music, fireworks, fun and community—what more could you need? Make sure to bring blankets or chairs to save your space in this popular spot.
