5 Reasons to Visit the Greek Theatre This May—Think Beer and Box Suites!

Don’t Miss Out on the Modelo Cantina, Box Suites and Killer Performances!

Since opening in Griffith Park in 1930, the Greek Theatre has been a Los Angeles cornerstone. This outdoor amphitheater seats just under 6,000, which means there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The venue is situated in a canyon, creating naturally amazing acoustics that you won’t experience anywhere else. Whether you’re a LA local or visiting from out of town, the Greek Theatre is the place to be this May—here’s why. Greek Theatre Food

Although the venue isn’t stadium-sized, the Greek will be hosting several well-known acts this month, such as critically acclaimed singer Olivia Rodrigo—who took home three Grammys this year. Don’t miss her SOUR Tour when it makes a stop live at the Greek on May 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. You’ll get to hear some of her hit songs like “Good 4 U,” “Driver’s License” and “Deja Vu.”

Plenty of Places to Sip and Savor

Unlike other similar-style venues, the Greek has a wide variety of food and drink options, so you don’t have to worry about stuffing your purse with snacks. If you’re looking for an easy grab-and-go meal, check out their north and south concession stands for easy shareables like the Santorini Volcanic Nachos and Four Cheese Melt. You can also grab tacos and burritos from the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge Taqueria along with a nice glass of pinot from the Riboli Family Wines Lounge. If you’re looking for cocktails, the Plaza Bar is prepared with a full bar and a list of rotating signature cocktails. The Modelo Cantina is another fun spot at the Greek that offers cold beer and local California wines. Perhaps the best feature of all, however, is that you can pre-order your food and drink for in-seat delivery, so you don’t even have to go through the hassle of waiting in line. Imagine arriving at your seat to find an ice-cold Modelo and snacks already waiting for you before the show begins!

For an even more elevated viewing experience, the Greek offers different premium VIP packages like Box Suites and VIP Elite Seats. The Box Suites can seat up to four people, come with their own dedicated menu and personal wait staff service and offer a great view of the stage. You can also make it a package deal and add in dinner, dessert and wine! If you’re just looking for your own personal space while rocking out, the Box is a great option. With VIP Elite Seats, not only will you enjoy upgraded seating (you can find the seating chart here), but you’ll also receive special parking passes and a private entrance so you can skip the lines.
