Sandwich aficionados will be thrilled to know that the beloved Jerry’s Deli has made its way back to Marina del Rey, taking the place of Stark’s Restaurant. The new concept, Jerry’s Patio Cafe & Bar, features expansive outdoor seating, a full bar, a walk-in takeout service counter and several of the same stacked favorites like the decadent pastrami sandwich.

In an effort to adapt to the times and cater to a new generation of customers, Jonathan Mitchell, Chief Executive Officer of Mitchell Hospitality Investments, LLC, has worked to create a streamlined menu chock-full of tasty modern comfort food. Diners can enjoy longstanding dishes such as the “cure-all” matzo ball soup, classic hand-shredded potato latkes and the all-new Jerry’s house sandwich (pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing on a local rye bread). In lieu of the “new normal” we are all adapting to, Jerry’s Patio Cafe & Bar has crafted their dishes to be easily enjoyed on their year-round patio or taken to-go. If you choose to stay, their outdoor space has ample seating and is lit with a combo of pendant lamps and twinkle lights for a stylish and vibrant atmosphere.

Not a sandwich lover? Not a prob! Jerry’s Patio Cafe & Bar has added several new dishes to their menu, including a Farmer’s Turkey Cobb salad, a housemade summer corn soup and a delicious pastrami burgers, which is made with two beef patties, a heaping portion of pastrami, melted gruyere cheese and Russian dressing on a challah bun. Looking for something on the lighter side? The vegan tortilla soup, impossibly vegan burger and the warm Kasha and quinoa bowl are excellent warm-weather options!

In addition to the restaurant’s wide selection of sandwiches, salads, soups and burgers, Jerry’s offers a scrumptious assortment of fresh baked pastries, cookies and cakes (including gluten-free options), all of which can be customized. Coffee, tea and a full bar menu with wine and cocktails are also available. It’s time to dig in, LA!
