The Tabasco-sponsored event takes place December 1-2 and has tamales as far as the eye can see—not to mention, traditional Folklorico dancers, a beer garden and a carnival.

The Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival is the one that started them all—before Indio was even an incorporated city! Not so much a festival as it is a season, polo kicks off on January 6 with Opening Day at the Eldorado Polo Club and Empire Polo Club. The season runs from January through the end of March with games every Sunday! It’s an exciting sport to watch, plus you can channel your inner Julia Roberts à la Pretty Woman for an afternoon! Richard Gere not included.

You may have heard of this one before. It’s a just a quaint little music festival with about 125,000 or so of your closest friends, huddled together to hear little independent acts by some underground artists called Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Eminem. All joking aside, the festival is scheduled for two back-to-back weekends starting April 12-14 and ending April 19-21. See you there, flower crown and all!
