The shop’s space is carefully and intentionally curated by owners Mieka May and Prescott McCarthy and features artisanal products made from natural and/or repurposed materials. They also offer plenty of crystals, incense and other spiritual items for those looking for something magical.

Roaming Travelers

Shop brands you know and love and discover new makers when you shop at Roaming Travelers. Drawing inspiration from their favorite travels, owners Andrew and Chelsea Evans founded their boutique as a way to share items that evoked a sense of wonder and a call to adventure. Offering some super-cute items like the Roaming Travelers Signature Scent Candle, swimwear and other apparel, you can certainly feel both the inspiration of wanderlust as well as the homage paid to the distinct style of the high desert.

Hi-Desert Daydream

Looking for a one-stop shop with goods from local makers that you can’t find anywhere else? Ever since Hi-Desert Daydream opened its doors, the shop has been bringing together an incredible community of local artisans under one roof. Serving as a 1,200-square-foot brick and mortar for a number of local vendors, such as Bobo Design Studio, Mojave Moon Apothecary, PAU and more, Hi-Desert Daydream is the product of the collaborative effort of Roaming Travelers founder Chelsea Evans and 39 Fox owner Melisa Tennies.

The End

The End has been a source of truly sublime vintage finds since 2012. Owned by local artist and stylist Kime Buzzelli, The End features a wide range of new and vintage apparel and accessories, including well-loved labels like Rachel Zoe, handmade goods and The End’s own line of bags and tees. When you visit, don’t forget to take a minute and admire the shop’s exterior, which is covered with hand-painted murals by Buzelli and Los Angeles artist Elena Stonaker.

Hoof & The Horn 

Founded and owned by Adam Yuratovac and Jen Michael, Hoof & The Horn is without a doubt one of the coolest hubs for all things high desert. This shop has everything any Joshua Tree aficionado could ever want, from fun headwear and bandanas to art prints and patches. The shop also carries Brixton products and will be offering some supercool vintage finds in the near future. Although their inventory is expansive, it’s easy to see that the boutique’s brand stays strong and true to its desert inspiration.
