1 | It’s a Vibe Mission Pacific Hotel Oceanside

Through the lobby doors you’ll find a sleek and cozy space (almost sexy, if you will) with warm lighting, contemporary furniture, rich wood accents, lush plants and a front desk made of all-natural stone and wood. One minute in this lobby will make you want to throw on your little black dress and sip a mezcal cocktail on one of the plush sofas. You get the picture…

2 | Top-Floor Floatin’

With a stunning rooftop pool and bar, I think it’s safe to say the architects knew what they were doing. Head upstairs for a dip in Mission Pacific’s sparkling pool that overlooks the Oceanside Pier or lounge beneath blue skies in your very own private cabana. And when the SoCal sun starts to beat down, take a stroll over to the bar and quench your thirst with a craft cocktail. This, my friends, is California dreamin’.

3 | Hollywood History Mission Pacific Hotel Oceanside

Just beneath the pool deck, you can see the historic Graves House from the iconic 1986 film, Top Gun. The house was originally built in 1887 but has undergone multiple renovations, including several paint jobs. As of now, Mission Pacific has plans to turn the haunt into a vintage dessert lounge called Charlie’s, named after Kelly McGillis’ character Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood in Top Gun.

Local Insight: The most recent renovation of the house cost a whopping $1 million!

4 | Art Is in the Eyes of the…Locals!

Curated pieces of local art can be spotted throughout the property, especially in the lobby. “We are committed to making the hotel a place that gives back to locals,” says Brandon Hendricks, area director of sales and marketing. This speaks to the overall mission of Mission Pacific. Rather than plunking down an enormous chain hotel that doesn’t connect to the local community, the designers of Mission Pacific found clever ways to incorporate pieces of Oceanside in everything from the decor to the ingredients used to make the food.

5 | Baja-Inspired Bites Mission Pacific Hotel Oceanside

Ranging from upscale to surf-casual, each of the food and beverage experiences offer distinct local flavors, including Baja street food, fresh seafood and organic, hyper-seasonal produce from local farms. The hotel’s restaurant, Vallé, will feature à la carte or tasting menus with tender meats, fresh seafood and produce from local farms. On The Rooftop, guests can indulge in craft beer, cocktails and Baja-inspired small plates like tacos and ceviche in an oh-so-stylish setting. And if you’re looking for a casual cafe experience, High/Low in the lobby features everything from breakfast and lunch to sunset bites and beverages—sandy feet are welcome!

Local Insight: The Rooftop is not exclusive to hotel guests, so if you and your boo are craving good drinks (and an even better view), this is the spot!

6 | Community Collabs

In an effort to collaborate with the community and support Oceanside’s locals, the property has partnered with a slew of amazing local brands and vendors. For staff uniforms, Mission Pacific has partnered with Brixton apparel brand to create a chic ensemble, while Pacific Coast Spirits creates proprietary liquor for the hotel. Other local collabs include Suja Juice, Urbn Water Co. and Bagby Beer!

7 | Get Hitched

Looking for an iconic spot to tie the knot? Located just behind the historic Graves House is a stunning outdoor wedding venue! This serves as a beautiful and memorable backdrop for any event, especially your big day! “You can’t get this anywhere else…It’s pretty special,” says Hendricks.
