Spend This Summer at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa

Stay Cool for the Summer at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa

Summer has arrived and vacation time is just on the horizon, especially in Greater Palm Springs. If the scenic mountain views, midcentury modern shops and Instagram photo ops don’t entice you enough to plan your next vacation at the desert oasis, a stay at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa most definitely will. The resort offers sparkling pools, a waterpark, spa treatments and the chance to solve a hotel murder mystery. This summer, you can take advantage of affordable rates that aren’t offered the rest of the year. Also, this resort takes luxury to the next level, with stunning views from every room. Omni’s Senior Marketing Manager Lisa Luna gave us eight alluring reasons to book a stay this summer.

1 | Splash and Play

Your whole family will love this redesigned waterpark! “Splashtopia at Omni Rancho Las Palmas is the only resort waterpark in Greater Palm Springs,” says Luna. “It consists of two 100-foot waterslides. It also has a splash pad with water features attached, a lazy river that goes around a mountain and a sandy beach area for the little ones.” The on-site Splash Grill makes it convenient to grab a bite or a tropical drink without leaving the area. Splashtopia is a unique amenity offered exclusively to hotel guests at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas.

2 | Rates Too Good to Pass up

The longer you stay, the better the price! “Our Stay & Splash summer sale is available now through Labor Day Weekend,” Luna explains. “It has rates starting at $99, which are the lowest of the season, and are perfect for long vacations, weekend getaways or staycations.” Package deals are up to 20 percent off a three-night stay. These deals extend through Sept. 8, 2019. A stay of several days will give you even more opportunities to indulge in a unique spa treatment, hang out at one of the chilled pools or dine at the resort’s signature restaurant, bluEmber.

3 | Chill out at the Azure Pool

If you want time alone with your girlfriends or spouse, the Azure Pool is for you. “The Azure Pool is an adults-only pool,” Luna points out. “It’s surrounded by stunning mountain views, palm trees and our beautiful plaza area.” The hotel’s staff is on-hand to serve great food and signature drinks. Luna adds, “A full-service menu is available to all guests who want to spend their day soaking in the sunshine.” So if quiet relaxation away from the kids is what you’re after, head over to this beautiful, secluded pool.

4 | Nourish the Body and Soul

You’ll want to devote an entire day to the Spa Las Palmas.

“The spa has over 50 unique treatments, all centered around desert organic products rich to our destination,” says Luna. “We offer a combination of unique healing elements beneficial to the mind and body. Our signature Cactus Massage and Honey Date Scrub allow guests to experience treatments focused on ingredients made specifically for Spa Las Palmas with honey, dates and cactus found in Greater Palm Springs.”

A blend of flora, sage and arnica is used, combined with a relaxing massage to detoxify and nourish body and soul. You can even get an in-room massage on request.

5 | Unwind in the Spa Pool

Just inside the Spa Las Palmas is a steam room, sauna, hot tub and pool. The pool is located in an enclosed private courtyard. “The Spa Pool offers guests a quiet and relaxing environment to retreat to before and after their spa services,” Luna explains. “It is only available to guests who have utilized the spa, in order for guests to enjoy a tranquil and peaceful environment. It’s surrounded by mountain tops, sweeping palm tree views and sunshine.”

6 | Stunning Views in Every Room

The Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa offers a choice of 444 guest rooms and 22 luxury suites. “All of our rooms come with a view,” says Luna. “Our newly renovated rooms offer guests Spanish-influenced architecture with modern desert décor. They’re set on 240 acres spread out in campus style, and have views of lakes & pools, palm trees, mountains and so much more.” All rooms have French doors that open to private patios or balconies. This stunning property will undoubtedly provide some great Instagrammable moments!

Native Knowledge: In the ‘60s and ‘70s, the Omni Rancho Las Palmas was called the Desert Air Hotel. They had an airplane landing strip where Hollywood elite flew in for the evening, had dinner, then retreated back to Los Angeles.

7 | Take a Swing

“We offer free golf and tennis between now and the end of September to all guests who pay a full resort fee,” Luna says. “It is a great way for us to engage our guests and offer recreational activities in the summer months.” Golfers can choose from three nine-hole, player-friendly courses: North, South or West. They even offer group and individual golf instruction from pros for skill levels ranging from a beginning golfer to the low-handicapped veteran. No clubs? No problem! You can rent a set of golf clubs for just $25.

Native Knowledge: Bob Hope was the first person to tee off at the hotel’s golf course.

8 | Be a Detective

You can even solve a murder mystery at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas this summer! Luna describes it as: “So fun! Our murder mystery escape room is a hotel murder mystery where guests have 60 minutes to solve the murder. It is a fun and interactive way to escape the heat, challenge themselves, team build and strategize.” It’s family-friendly and geared to all ages.
