Salvation Mountain is a vibrant art installation in the Colorado Desert, near the small town of Niland, California. Leonard Knight built this colorful masterpiece by hand, and it now spans several vibrant acres. It stands as a tribute to his deep spiritual beliefs and his mission to spread love and faith.
Knight began the project in the early 1980s, driven by his unwavering devotion and vision. With just adobe, straw, and donated paint, he transformed a barren hillside into something extraordinary. Over time, thousands of gallons of bright colors brought his message to life. A message that continues to inspire visitors from around the world.
