Are you ready for the weekend, or is it just us? Help us get the party started with our LOCALE Social Hour at Whiphand on Thursday, Feb. 21 from 6-8 p.m.! For only $10, you can indulge in scrumptious appetizers, groove to some music and chat up some new connections—oh, and did we mention that your first drink’s on us? Take It All in
This might be one of the most aesthetically pleasing restaurants you’ve been to so far this year. From the calm but edgy color scheme to the amazing wall art and light fixtures (seriously getting major design inspo here), we’re sure the ambiance will make a great addition to your ‘gram.
Food for the Soul
You know when you’re glancing over a menu and you have no idea what to order because it all sounds amazing? Yeah, it’s easy to say that Louisiana-born Whiphand’s Chef Quinnton Austin does an amazing job with providing restaurant-goers mouth-watering dishes. So if you haven’t already tried one of his incredible appetizers, now’s your chance! We’re talking lemon pepper wet wings, short rib fondue bites with white cheddar béchamel and truffle oil crostini, and also roasted cauliflower with a balsamic reduction and roasted red pepper and pesto drizzle. Finally, Oysters Rockefeller, because we just want to make sure you’re filled to capacity.
Something to Clink About
If you or your guest could use a little hop in your step, then Whiphand is the place for you. One of the most noticeable things about Whiphand’s sign and interior is its Beer Bank, a glorious wall of 24 self-serve draft beer taps. But if cocktails are more you’re thing, don’t worry—Whiphand’s cocktail bar has some seriously memorable drinks on the menu. And don’t forget: your welcome drink is on us! It’s aptly titled the Southsider Rider with Hendricks gin, passionfruit, lime, cucumber and mint. Cheers!

It’s not a party without some music to groove to! After fueling up with light bites and taking in some liquid courage, feel free to let loose and enjoy. Whether you go full out Flashdance or you’re more of a sway-and-nod kinda person, we think these tunes will definitely make you want to get moving, no matter what that looks like.

Isn’t there a saying that the calories don’t count if it’s for a good cause? Probably one of the easiest (and most fun) ways to give back, our Social Hour at Whiphand will be donating all proceeds to benefit Surfrider Foundation’s SD Chapter. We’ll say, “cheers” to that!
