Heads Up Towne Palm Springs

We have purchased quite a few things at Lindy, including some amazing art, but our favorite—by far—is a handsome vintage brass skull. Everyone that comes to our home comments on it. Her inventory is constantly changing, so there’s always something new to see.

Hedge Your Bets

Hedge Palm Springs is tucked away in an industrial area of Cathedral City—it’s not a place you would just stumble across. We send people to their gallery to see an incredible collection of vintage furniture and contemporary art. The owners, Charles and Thomas, manage to find the most unusual pieces, not to mention they are super fun! Local tip: they serve a delicious espresso while you wander around their shop.

Mark Our Words Towne Palm Springs

On the Mark is in a new location with an expanded store. It’s really the only gourmet market in Palm Springs with a curated selection of wines, artisan cheese, small-batch oils and condiments that make it a shop we can’t get enough of. Bring home a jar of pickled asparagus, and don’t leave without trying a veggie sandwich.

Spin Some Time Here

Windmill Market makes the most delicious date shake—hands down the best in town. It’s the only place we know of that sells Barhi dates. They taste like caramel candy, and you can’t have just one! Visit on the way home from a hike in Joshua Tree—it’s a great way to get a close look at the windmills on the way there.

Count Your Blessings

Counter Reformation is definitely a locals’ hangout—even people staying at The Parker might not discover it! It’s a bar tucked under the hotel that has great small plates and a well-thought out selection of wines. We like the cabernet short rib with a poached egg and crispy kale sprouts. Don’t forget to check out the real confessional.
