June is coming to a close, which means it’s time to slip on a swimsuit, slather on the SPF and give cheers to the beginning of summer 2021! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves: this sunny season deserves a proper welcome. And if you’re a San Diego dweller, boy, have we got the summer celebration for you!

In the heart of San Diego’s coastal town of La Jolla, Westfield UTC is kicking things off with a weekend-long soiree that is sure to put you in a summer state of mind. This open-air retail center’s Hello Summer celebration will run from June 25-27 and features everything from acoustic sets by local San Diego musicians to a larger-than-life prize wheel where every spin wins! Plus, Westfield UTC will be giving out $100,000 in scratch cards, prizes, offers and in-store experiences. Those scratch cards will be unexpectedly handed out to visitors throughout the weekend, meaning you could be one of the lucky $500 winners!

When you’re not spinning to win, be sure to catch an Unplugged Live Music performance in Palm Plaza and at The Pointe. Hello Summer will feature a lineup of acoustic sets plus summer beats from DJ Mango Daas. Stop in to Shake Shack, Lemonade or Corner Bakery Cafe for a hearty lunch, or grab an iced coffee from Elixir Espresso Bar or a scoop or two from Haagen Dazs Ice Cream Shop!

Planning on bringing the kiddos along? Don’t fret! Enjoy snacks or sips near Macy’s, Pottery Barn or in Palm Plaza as you soak up the sun, summertime beats and bubbles! This epic summer celebration will feature lawn games courtesy of TravisMathew, so you can enjoy some friendly competition. And on Saturday from 12-3 p.m., Athleta is partnering with local talent @tsecalligraphy to customize your tote bag keepsake.
