Looking to immerse yourself in a pink paradise? Trixie Motel, created by iconic drag queen Trixie Mattel, is the newest luxury boutique accommodation in Palm Springs. During the day, guests can lounge under pink and white umbrellas in between dips in the retro pool. There are even pink pool floaties and, of course, pink towels for when you’re ready to dry off. Everything from the rooms and the lobby to the bubblegum pink exterior is Instagram-worthy. Each room is designed with its own ‘70s-inspired style and flair, but the Pink Flamingo Suite is our personal fav.

Shorebird (coming soon!)

The Shops On El Paseo in Palm Desert will soon welcome the coastal eatery of Shorebird. The highlight of this upcoming restaurant is definitely the wood-fired grill and rotisserie, which will create dishes and meats that are cooked to perfection every time. Some signature items will include the Duroc Heritage pork chop and the Harris Ranch prime skirt steak. The menu will also feature a “Raw Bar” section, which will highlight fresh seafood like hamachi crudo and salmon carpaccio. Oysters and various nigiri and sushi rolls will also grace the menu.

Waldo’s Ristorante

In need of a new favorite Italian hot spot in Palm Desert? Waldo’s Ristorante is bringing authentic Italian cuisine to the desert. Inspired by the iconic Italian-American restaurants that boomed in New York City in the mid-20th century, Waldo’s Ristorante places an emphasis on high-quality food in an inviting and modest environment. Between the daily happy hour and the decadent dinner menu, Waldo’s is sure to win over your heart (and your stomach). Start off with a glass of Italian vino and Artichoke Hearts From Heaven before diving into crave-worthy puttanesca for your main course.

Acrisure Arena
is the latest and greatest place to catch the desert’s newest hockey team, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, dominate the ice. In addition to hockey, Acrisure Arena will also host various shows and concerts from artists like Jimmy Buffet, Paramore and Reba McEntire. The arena can hold over 11,000 people, ensuring that major artists and events will be able to utilize the space. Considering the Coachella Valley is one of the most iconic music and festival destinations in the country, Acrisure Arena is sure to fit right in.

Agua Caliente Cultural Plaza (coming soon!)

Set to open in the spring of 2023, the Agua Caliente Cultural Plaza is bringing another level of culture and art to the desert. The exciting and meaningful attraction will have a social plaza, beautiful gardens, a peaceful walking trail and a state-of-the-art museum dedicated to sharing the history of the Native American Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The museum will (at least) be a massive 48,000 square-feet and will showcase everything from incredible artwork to cultural artifacts.
