The Luxury Resort is Hosting Gourmet Food and Wine Experiences Starting June 22

Summer is officially here and with it comes an endless flow of rosé, barbecues and sunsets. There’s no better way to experience the best of summer than at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. For select months out of the season, beginning June 22, the luxury resort will be hosting food and wine experiences that feature gourmet chef selections paired with award-winning wines. Each experience is themed: Savory Seasonal Barbecue, Sensational Summer Bounty, and the Pacific Northwest Seafood Celebration and will offer an intimate, outdoor atmosphere fit with ocean views and magical sunsets.

Hot Off the Barbecue Grill

The Savory Seasonal Barbecue on June 22 is prepped for an unforgettable evening on the Dana Lawn with culinary delights presented by Executive Chef, Brian Sundeen. “The al fresco dinner is served family-style,” says Marketing Communications Coordinator, Maegen Whisman. “Highlighting a menu of seasonal favorites including shrimp kabobs, bone-in beef ribs, confit chicken wings, baked beans, grilled potatoes and charred asparagus.”

Vegetables With a View

On July 20, guests can enjoy The Sensational Summer Bounty inspired by all of the organic fruits and vegetables harvested in Southern California. “Executive Chef Brian Sundeen shares that July is the best time of year to find a variety of vegetables and fruits including tomatoes, stone fruit, and corn along with locally sourced cheeses and artisan bread,” says Whisman. “The fruits and vegetables are at the ripest during the summer season providing the most incredible flavors for our chefs to work with.”

 

Catch of the Summer

There will be no catch-and-release at the September 7 Pacific Northwest Seafood Celebration experience. Whisman says the event will “feature delicacies of cedar plank salmon sourced from British Columbia, oysters on the half shell from the pacific northwest along with clams, mussels, a foraged mushroom medley and smoked charcoal potatoes.”

As if we haven’t swooned over the view enough, the summer evening experiences will create a refined and inviting atmosphere that Whisman says will include dinners served family-style at long tables and encourage guests to “sit back and enjoy warm summer nights with the sunset and surf below.”

 

Eat, Drink and Be Outdoorsy

The Food & Wine Experiences offer a refreshing, elevated take on outdoor eating, where the chef brings the kitchen to you. “[They] are an exclusive opportunity for guests to enjoy unique cuisine, view the unmatched setting of the ocean and interact with our Executive Chef and his team.” Chef Sundeen and his team will be centered in an outdoor kitchen to interact and engage with guests as they prepare the delectable cuisine.
