When it comes to selecting your home base for the weekend, nothing compares to the posh Andaz San Diego. This chic, sky-high hotel has one of the largest rooftops in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter and lacks none of the essentials for an all-out girls’ weekend. Live DJs, a festive cocktail bar and plush seating makes this San Diego’s dreamiest bach party venue. Also, can we talk about the sunset views from their rooftop pool? Of course, you’ll want to make sure your girls are well-rested before the big event and life’s just too short not to say “yes!” to their elevated Cabana Suite with private poolside cabanas. The property’s urban and artsy details are complemented by luxurious amenities, like free-standing bathtubs and in-room dining service for an extra touch of pampering. Dinner is hosted at The Rooftop by STK (aka, their top-floor lounge), where you’ll find a curated California coastal menu that can be personalized to match all your bach party foodie dreams. From charcuterie board appetizers to tres leches dessert, this venue goes above and beyond when it comes to curating a five-star dining experience.

When it comes to brunch, San Diego has something to offer every bride tribe. Morning Glory is a posh pink palace with a too-cool-for-school vibe. Get the party going with a boozy coffee and a big ol’ stack of souffle pancakes! Now, if your bride is the peaceful type, then The Waverly will feel like a breath of fresh air. Order their creme brulee French toast for the entire table to share then wash it down with a Punch-Drunk Love cocktail. But if your girls are all about the ‘Gram, then bring your posse to The Vibe in Normal Heights for a breezy brunch of spritzes and lobster rolls or the pretty-in-pink Flamingo Deck in Pacific Beach. This laid-back lounge is full of color, and their flamingo punch bowls make the perfect prop for a photo op!

The Big Dinner

Deciding on a dinner destination can be tough; luckily, San Diego is full of exquisite eateries. Cesarina is a traditional Italian trattoria driven by amore. You can choose from one of their signature dishes or build your own bowl; they also have an endless selection of authentic Italian wine. If the bridal party is looking for a high-end steakhouse, then make a reservation at Born and Raised. This high-rolling steakhouse in Little Italy features glitzy decor, a decadent menu and tableside dessert service that will make your bride feel like a million bucks. You can also enjoy an on-the-water experience at the new Malibu Farm location in Seaport Village. Order the burrata salad, coconut ceviche and seasonal hummus to share with the table.

Before you hit the town, take a moment to toast the future bride with a pre-game celebration! Santa Gula is the Gaslamp’s newest listening bar and cocktail lounge set in a charming 1910s brick building with swanky vibes for days. The Margarita Picante will help you detox before you retox, or opt for their Naked & Famous for a more Insta-worthy cocktail. Another hotspot to add to your list is North Park’s Louisiana Purchase—a glamorous destination that brings an authentic taste of New Orleans to San Diego. Their decor is sleek and the drinks are crafty—get amped for the night ahead with a round of their Rose Nicaud espresso martinis. If your bride loves a little whimsy, The Seventh House is a must-visit with sparkling glass chandeliers, a zodiac menu and champagne showers.

Rooftops to Rendezvous

Let your bride feel like she’s on top of the world by enjoying a nightcap at one of the best rooftop bars in San Diego. When it comes to creative cuisine, Lumi is on another level—literally. Look out over the Gaslamp Quarter as you sip on one of their crafty cocktails made using only the finest Japanese liquors. You can also take your rooftop experience above and beyond by renting out a cabana at Kettner Exchange. This place is the only open-air rooftop bar in Little Italy and offers cocktail decanters and self-service beer taps, so you can party in privacy. But if a trip to the tropics is what your bride is looking for, then book a table at Little Italy’s Coco Maya. It doesn’t get much better than rum-infused cocktails and a rooftop soiree with your girl gang.

Fun and Games

In between the dining and drinking, be sure to leave time for all the fun San Diego has to offer, starting with The Shout! House. This dueling piano bar is the best music venue in town, and since you’re there for a big bach bash, expect the bride to shine in the spotlight. If the girls like a little friendly competition, then head to Coin-Op Game Room, where you can play the classics like Pac-Man, Frogger and pinball. Make things interesting and bet a boy to buy a round of drinks if he loses to your top player! You can also get in a round of bowling at Punch Bowl Social in the hip neighborhood of East Village or head to the new karaoke bar meets sophisticated speakeasy, Gaslamplighter, for a night of cocktails and tunes. For a daytime outing, consider an eye-catching Pretty Pink Boat rental—a 30-foot party pontoon with a photobooth that’ll take you around Mission Bay. If you’re looking for a great nightlife venue, Bang Bang is a buzz-worthy club in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter with bottle service, live music and Asian fusion bites.

There is no shortage of entertainment in San Diego, so if you or one of your girlfriends are planning to tie the knot, then take a trip down the coast for a bachelorette bash!
