Garret Weston, a 20-year real estate authority of the Huntington Beach and coastal Orange County real estate scene, has sold arguably some of the most beautifully built and designed houses in HB and surrounding areas. Recently making the move over to the tech-savvy real estate brokerage, Compass, he has the market cornered with nearly $100 million of closed sales in 2018. Starting his career as a 17-year-old intern to becoming the right-hand man to a real estate broker (all while being a senior in high school), he got a chance to immerse himself in the business which led him to his success today. Weston shared some insight on the five Huntington Beach homes that you may not know existed.

“What’s not to love about selling gorgeous homes like these along some of the most beautiful coastline in the world?” said Weston. “Born and raised in Huntington Beach, it’s near and dear to my heart.” Every new or remodeled home has pulled inspiration from one place or another. Almost every detail in this home was replicated after the homeowners’ favorite hotel—The Carneros Inn in Napa Valley, California. Weston (former owner) designed and was extremely instrumental in the meticulous attention to detail while pulling this project together.

Native Knowledge: Weston’s buyer tip: “Renting for a short period of time to find out exactly which community [or] area you desire. Nothing worse than making a million-dollar mistake.”

2 | Go Big or Go Home Huntington Beach Homes for sale

“Well known in Huntington Beach’s Seacliff equestrian properties for its sheer size, one may think it looks more like a hotel,” explained Weston. “Sitting at 10,500 square feet on an expansive flat 55,000 square-foot lot complete with a regulation size court, this home is the largest SFR residence ever sold in Huntington Beach.” This expansive home was custom-made by Pinnacle Custom Homes in Edwards Hill Estate and designed by renowned architect, Miles Folsom. Built in 2002, this welcoming home boasts six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

3 | A Home for Everyone Huntington Beach Homes for sale

“A very dear friend and extremely talented builder, Jason Gonterman of Gonterman Construction brings contemporary farmhouse [design] to the highly coveted tree-lined streets of Park Street in downtown Huntington Beach,” said Weston. The indoor/outdoor lifestyle is the ideal setup for the coastal SoCal residents. Designer and Builder Gonterman stated, “With Huntington Beach predominantly being a family community, we wanted to go [in] a direction that evoked a sense of timelessness and tradition, yet with a modern spin on it.” This house gives us all of the Joanna Gaines vibes.

4 | As Far as the Eye Can Sea(cliff)

“Seacliff on The Greens is probably one of the most nostalgic communities in all of the Seacliff communities of Huntington Beach,” shared Weston. “[It’s] known for its meticulous arborist-like landscaping throughout the community. It’s so refreshing to see a modern-day spin on a nearly 30-year-old home.” Tucked behind a double gated community with lush landscaping, this community makes you feel like you are on an exclusive forever vacation.

5 | Knock It out of the Park

“Over the years, downtown Huntington Beach has been rebuilt from the ground up,” said Weston. “This particular home has an overwhelming sense of style…on a slightly elevated corner lot overlooking the park!”

Native Knowledge: Weston currently has a listing in an exclusive Newport Coast community. Slated to be finished by early 2020, this home will be 95 percent self-sustaining and will feature four Tesla charging stations, a 78-foot triangular infinity pool, six bedrooms and ten bathrooms, to name a few.
