On March 18, The Boston Beer Company launched the Restaurant Strong Fund in Massachusetts with The Greg Hill Foundation in response to how Covid-19 is affecting the restaurant industry. The mission behind the initiative was to provide $1,000 grants to restaurant workers in-need, providing immediate relief to those affected.

In just one week, they raised $500,000 for restaurant and bar workers. With an overwhelming number of grant applications in only Massachusetts, the Restaurant Strong Fund realized the immediate need and has expanded the fund to 20 different states across the country. Samuel Adams is donating over two million dollars to kickstart the funding in these states, California included.

With over one million restaurants in the US, it is predicted the restaurant industry will be impacted the most from the Covid-19 crisis. Samuel Adams recognizes this situation and wants to give back while offering support.
