5 Reasons This Palm Springs Resort Is The Perfect Holiday Escape

There’s No Place Like Margaritaville Resort for the Holidays

From our experience, there are two types of Southern Californians during the winter holidays: those with countdown calendars who dream of snow and those who don’t mind decorating a palm tree and wearing a light jacket. If you’re one of the latter, we have the perfect holiday resort for you.

During a season that seems to fly by in a flash, Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is offering its guests the opportunity to truly slow down and enjoy their time on the property. Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is the ideal spot for out-of-towners and staycationers alike, whether you’re gathering with loved ones or finding a quick getaway to recharge. This desert oasis offers all the comforts and amenities you need to melt your stress away, including spa treatments at St. Somewhere Spa, cabanas at the sparkling pools, six bars and eateries and more.

The Offer: The ‘Tis the Season Offer features a 15% discount on the resort’s best available rate and a $75 resort credit. Plus, for every night you stay, Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs will contribute $5 to the FIND Food Bank.

2 | Holiday Activations

For those looking to fully wrap themselves up in the holiday spirit, you’ll be happy to know that Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs will be celebrating the winter holidays in true SoCal fashion. While you may not catch any snowflakes here, you can catch “Christmas with the Crawfords,” a play based on the “Crawford Family’s Christmas Eve” live radio broadcast in 1949, to be performed at Margaritaville Resort. Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs will also have s’mores kits available for anyone who wants to cozy up along with a Hot Cocoa Bar on select days. For those looking for something a little more boozy, take note of the December cocktail specials across the resort’s many restaurants—like the Skyline Sling at JWB Grill, made with St. George Dry Rye Gin and Bonal Herbal Liqueur, or the Pirate King at License to Chill, made with Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum and St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram.

Local Insight: If you want to catch some local festivities while you’re in town, there will be plenty for you to enjoy—one of our personal favorites is WildLights at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens.

3 | Winter Wellness

‘Tis the season of giving, so why not treat yourself to a spa treatment (or two) at the largest resort spa in Palm Springs? To really get in the holiday mood, book a Spa-Lidays Special—you can choose from the Let It Glow Facial and the Sugar and Spice Body Treatment, or enjoy a 20% discount when you purchase two or more retail items. Since the spa is open to the public, local residents get 15% off and day passes are $50 (Sunday through Wednesday only). You can even bring your pup in to get pampered with a massage!

St. Somewhere Spa boasts 18 treatment rooms, highly trained massage therapists and estheticians and the serene Blue Haven Lounge, complete with a Watsu pool, spa and cabanas. At St. Somewhere Spa, guests can choose from a large menu of services including different massages, body therapies, facials and hair and nail salon services—plus there’s a retail section should you need to pick up any last-minute gifts.

4 | Pools

Who says that winter has to be all about layers and snowfall? The Margaritaville ambiance wouldn’t be complete without a poolside paradise, and this resort offers two inviting pools for you to splash around in: the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Pool and the Lone Palm Pool. The 5 o’Clock Somewhere Pool is open daily and guests can enjoy poolside service from the adjacent 5 o’Clock Somewhere Pool Bar, while the Lone Palm Pool offers a more intimate experience and features a full-service tiki bar.

To kick it up a notch, opt for a cabana rental at the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Pool. Cabana rentals accommodate up to six people and include dedicated cabana service, a mini fridge, a TV, misters and fans. They also offer complimentary treats such as a fruit plate, a bottle of champagne and bottled water.

5 | Rooms + Suites

We love our families—immediate, extended, in-laws, all of them—but we don’t have to sleep on an air mattress at their place to prove that. Thankfully, Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs has plenty of accommodations to choose from, meaning there’s a room for every crew.

In-room amenities include free, high-speed internet, crisp white linens and—in true Margaritaville fashion—a color palette reminiscent of the sand and sea. Each room, from the Standard Suite with a king bed to the bi-level Jimmy Buffett Suite with a private fireplace, is designed with comfort and tranquility in mind, which is perfect after a day at the spa, strolling around Downtown or spending a holiday function with loved ones.

Cheers to a sun-drenched holiday escape in the heart of Palm Springs!
