Described by Collett as a place where you can “work out, play and relax,” Renaissance ClubSport allows members to customize their own experience. The club includes a huge fitness center, three outdoor swimming pools (plus a kid’s splash pad), a pool bar, indoor sports courts, Citrus Fresh Grill & Market and R Spa

Renaissance ClubSport has also recently opened pickleball courts and The Edge Performance Training Center. Pickleball is a sport that combines aspects from badminton, tennis and ping pong, in order to create a new sports experience for those of all ages and skill levels. Complimentary “Learn to Play” sessions are available weekly as well as drop-in play and private lessons with veteran racquetball player Gary Kinzelberg.

With an emphasis on fitness, food and fun, there’s always something new to try and explore at Renaissance ClubSport. Featuring a 25-yard lap pool, an exercise pool, a kid’s wading pool and Splash n’ Play Park, it’s the perfect place to cool down this summer. “We are fun for individuals and the family,” says Collett. “You can swim and relax in the sun while sipping a cocktail, and the kids can enjoy the slides and the water guns.”

2 | It’s Your Destination for Self-Care and Rest

Make time for total rejuvenation at Renaissance ClubSport’s full-service R Spa. Pamper yourself with refreshing treatments like massages, facials, hydrotherapy, waxes, tanning, or speed up muscle recovery with Therabody RecoveryAir Compression, which can either be a stand alone service or added on with a facial or massage. Therabody RecoveryAir Compression is a recovery method for the everyday athlete, so if you’re looking for a way to loosen your muscles, in order to quickly stop fatigue or soreness, then Therabody RecoveryAir Compression is the answer for you.

“We know that throughout this resort, you’ll take care of yourself and rest,” says Collett. In terms of massages, choose the full-body R Classic massage, the restorative hot stone massage or the aromatherapy massage with comforting essential oils. Don’t leave without trying the 90-minute sound bath (one of the many events offered periodically), which Collett describes as a “guided meditation with music [that] reconnects your heart center while realigning the body, mind and soul.”

3 | You’ll Feel Better After a Workout

Renaissance ClubSport holds a wide variety of fitness classes that will help you strengthen your muscles, improve your flexibility and move to the beat. From HIIT to yoga, there’s a group workout class that suits your speed, mood and fitness goals. “What’s great about our instructors is that they are very welcoming and will make adjustments based upon the group…so people stay safe and still get a really great workout in,” remarks Collett.

Renaissance ClubSport also provides Rev32, an 8-week weight loss program that includes fitness and nutrition support, personal training and a dedicated studio for Formula3 Fitness, their boutique fitness brand with classes that use equipment such as water rowers, striders, TRX, weights and sandbags. “[Formula3] includes three styles of boutique fitness classes that focus either on strength, endurance or active recovery,” says Stanek. These specialty classes can typically cost upwards of $35 each at a small boutique studio, but as a Renaissance ClubSport member, they are included with your membership.

With the little ones in mind, Renaissance ClubSport features unique family-friendly activities and kid-exclusive fun. Families can enjoy time together playing racquetball, squash and basketball, swimming in the pool or participating in a poolside birthday party. “If the parents decide [to have their] own time, with the family membership they can drop their kids off at Kids World and the adults can go out and enjoy dinner for two out on the patio with live music,” says Collett. While the parents have their fun, the children enjoy time at the Kids World playspace with arts and crafts, games and story time.

Local Insight: Renaissance ClubSport offers summer camps. Enroll your children in a variety of camp options like cooking, science, basketball, music, zoology and art camps—to enrich minds and create memories. Swimming lessons for the kiddos are also offered four days a week beginning June 6, 2022.

Above all, Renaissance ClubSport showcases its commitment to hospitality and service by providing a balanced lifestyle where you can come and work, then work out, play and relax. To augment the experience further, the Renaissance ClubSport calendar is full of special events like live music, wine tastings, wellness seminars and poolside barbeques. “We want our members and guests…to feel like they’re on vacation when they visit us. We want to be the best part of their day,” says Collett. “We really try to individualize the experience for members and guests by knowing their names and their preferences.”

Local Insight: Citrus Fresh Grill & Market is open daily and serves New World cuisine by Executive Chef Juan Navarrette. Collett and Stanek’s favorites are the 485 Fit Bowl, French fries and the Laguna Canyon Fire cocktail. The restaurant also offers special meals and libations for themed events like Taco Tuesdays, the Kentucky Derby and Father’s Day.
